The story:
Since getting my Digital 8-track (a Tascam DP-02) I have learned that playing with a metronome is something I need to get better at. And since I enjoy writing so much it’s hard for me dedicate any spare time I have to practicing because let’s face it…when it comes to certain things I am “Lazy”. And with two dogs, a beautiful fiancée and a fifteen month old daughter, it is hard enough to find quiet time to record let alone practice. (Pay close attention to these songs and you might hear what I am talking about.) With all this on my mind I decided the most important things for me to do is relax and not take this music thing so serious. Also, I decided to call it a “live” Ep instead of demos because that is exactly what it is: two Microphones, me, my Dad’s old Epiphone acoustic guitar, a little knob tweaking, and one take Jake. I still cringe sometimes when I listen to certain parts of certain songs but I figure “oh well”, that was the point of this project. It is far from the sound I want and lacks all dubbing I would like to do.
So after I decided to stop taking myself so serious, I thought it would be fun to just put something out there. Besides, I know even when I do finish a full length album I will never be satisfied with it, especially without a drummer. So even though these songs will probably sound horrendous to most, I hope at least one or two can find their own context within the songs and enjoy the music.

About the tracks:
I decided on these five songs because I wrote them for electric guitar and I thought it would be cool to record acoustic versions of them. These were all recorded in one sitting on 11-05-10, the same day I posted it on Bandcamp. It’s obvious I am not the best singer but I am hoping people will look past that and enjoy the spirit of the songs. I also included the lyrics even though they probably aren’t exactly the same. If you read all this thanks and I appreciate your time.
